Creative Cognitions offers the perfect opportunity for psychologists and other AHPRA registered allied health professionals in the mental health field to enjoy the ownership and independence of running their own private practice while removing the isolation that can often come with independent private practice work.

At Creative Cognitions, I wanted to create a space where solo practitioners were able to rent a space and run their own business their way. A space where they could have complete ownership over their own practice while still working alongside other practitioners allowing us to stay connected and working in a supportive team environment. At Creative Cognitions, we encourage each member of the team to have their own business structure and referral base while also utilising the main clinics already established and growing referral base.

The structure of Creative Cognitions allows you to do your clinic your way.

We offer a professional and welcoming environment where you can work in close proximity to other experienced psychologists running their own practices. This allows us to collaborate for peer or group supervision if interested, share resources including the latest interesting article or podcast that you listened to on the drive home.

We have flexible room renting options available for as little as one day a week and afternoon/after hours options available also (3pm-8pm). The complex is open Monday to Sunday 8am to 8pm (although you can start earlier if you are an early riser like me).

The clinic is located on the first floor of the Oriel Place complex on Sandgate road in Clayfield. The complex has both above and underground onsite parking for clients and full disability access with a spacious elevator (an open stairwell is available also for anyone who may be claustrophobic). The space has been designed with inclusivity and tranquillity in mind.

On arrival you walk into the main reception area that has 4 waiting room chairs and a couch for anyone that a regular chair may not be comfortable or appropriate. A buffet with tea and coffee facilities is available in the reception area also and each patient is welcome to help themselves to a beverage while they wait.

Each clinic room is a beautiful spacious room with a large window allowing the natural sunlight to fill the room. As we are on the first floor no need to worry about privacy. Each room has a two seater couch for the patient and a comfortable arm chair for the clinician. A corner desk and desk chair is also set up for comfort when completing all your administrative duties. The clinic also has a staff kitchen where we can eat our lunch together and escape the office even if for just 30 minutes.
